Does your child or teen struggle to cope with the demands of his/her life?
If so, your child may benefit from behavioral treatment. Therapy allows for kids to share in a safe and supportive environment while learning effective tools for coping with social, academic, personal, and familial stressors. A therapist can serve as a trusted confidant, a guide, a teacher, and a coach. This relationship helps kids reflect on ideas and decisions and can guide them to be effective and happy by learning positive skills to cope with life’s demands.
Dr. Peck’s Approach
Dr. Peck is a child and adolescent specialist. Her doctoral training and experience focuses on child and adolescent treatments and parent training for a wide range of behavioral health issues. Older children and adolescents continue to be a large part of her current practice, partly due to her specialty training, but also because of her passion in working with this subset. Dr. Peck is inspired by the energy and creativity of the children and teens that she works with and places high value on offering treatments that are routed in science, but also engaging and creative. Through her extensive work with kids, she has developed an ability to adapt treatments to be fun and digestible for her younger clients. She considers herself young at heart and enjoys bonding with kids and teens over shared activities and welcomes tips on the latest trends.
