I have worked with other organizations to try and help my son with ARFID and autism over the years. This is place that we have actually experienced progress. I love our direct service provider, Trish, who has been so insightful and wise in our approach. She has really helped us to continually challenge my son, but not to the point that he gets discouraged. She has found a way to help my son recognize that he has to want this more than anyone else. They also have a parent support group that has been so helpful and encouraging. I highly recommend this practice above any other.

There are a few things you look for when your kiddo is going through a rough time, and with two years of lockdown, most kids are having a hard time adjusting back to social interactions with their peers. first hurdle is availability. The Bright Minds team was incredible at finding us a time slot really quickly. Second hurdle: the cost. Their services are reasonably priced and were totally worth the investment. Third: will it work.. Miss Trishala has been incredible at helping our daughter with an eating disorder and suicidal thoughts. We had online sessions weekly and she helped me tremendously understand my daughter’s condition, how to help her and put immediate actions in place while being super respectful of our own parenting style. I have the utmost respect for this incredible team of therapist.

Madison is by far the best therapist that my daughter has ever had. She’s compassionate, wise, and understanding. She is the first therapist that has ever made my daughter feel safe. We are very grateful and couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Dr. Stephanie Peck is a life saver for my daughter. I have an 11 year old daughter who struggles with an eating disorder (ARFID) and was afraid of throwing up when eating. She lost a lot of weight, and I had turned to so many doctors- none of which really made an impact regarding this disorder. I was losing hope. I was referred to Dr. Peck, who turned my daughter’s life around and gave us hope. For about two to three months my daughter went through intensive and impactful therapy that took time, and Dr. Peck was very effective and patient with each step. She asked insightful questions and made my daughter comfortable. Dr. Peck was open, honest, and caring; she allowed both my daughter and me to ask questions when we needed support. Dr. Peck did nothing short of save my daughter’s life, in the sense that she gave her life back to her. My daughter is happy and healthy, and finally back to her confident self. As a mother, there can be no greater gift than this when it comes to your child. The time and money was worth every moment and penny. Thank you, Dr. Peck.

Dr. Stephanie is simply amazing. We started our journey with her about five years ago. Our daughter, who was finishing up fifth grade was beginning to lose weight and seem to withdraw from her normal bubbly self at school. Through the mediation of her fifth grade teacher and principal, we were able determine that she was being bullied by a classmate. This overwhelmed my daughter and she began to stop eating. Her weight plummeted so much so that her primary doctor was ready to hospitalize her. We were told that if she didn’t start seeing signs of improvement, than she would need to be admitted asap. Our primary doctor told us to call Dr. Stephanie. So I called – Scared half out of my wits that my little one was quickly wasting away – not knowing what the this new doctor was going to say or do for us. When I first spoke to Dr. Stephanie on the phone, her voice was like that of an angel. She was so comforting and reassuring that I couldn’t wait to meet her in person and introduce our daughter to her. We all took a liking to her immediately. Our therapy sessions then began. Over next few months, she worked with us as family and individually with our daughter. She coached us as parents as what to do and say. She gave our daughter “tools” she could use whenever she felt overwhelmed, stressed or scared. These helped her so much when times got rough…and let me tell they sure got rough.
We came up with a plan as to how to get as many calories into her little body as fast as possible and have them stick. Through one of the sessions, we found out that our daughter really loved cinnabons and frozen pizza bites. These two items became a staple in our home. We prepared these for her everyday and to our amazement, she began to eat more and more, weight began to add up on her and she grew increasingly stronger – physically and mentally!!! Over the course of 12 months we were seeing Dr. Stephanie 1, 2 sometimes 3 times a week. Each session made our daughter stronger and in turn made us stronger too, thus allowing us to cope with the eating disorder and help our daughter grow into the thriving teenager she is today. Our visits to Dr. Stephanie tapered off after about 3 years as our daughter is now healthy and living life! Although this will be life long journey, we know we are all in better place today because of Dr. Stephanie. I cannot thank her enough as she gave us back our daughter. I can’t imagine what today would be like had we not been referred to her. Our faith in Dr. Stephanie is so strong, that we had referred multiple family friends to her and they too have seen her work her miracles! We still keep in touch today and as our daughter prepares for college next year, I am sure she will want see Dr. Stephanie before she leaves to continue building herself up. Thank you so very much for all you have done for us, our friends and society!
